Site Name: Noosa North Shore.
Address: North Shore.
Directions: From Tewantin turn right at the Shell Service Station and take Moorindil Street, approximately 2 km, to the vehicular ferry which will transport your vehicle, for a fee, across the Noosa River. As from July 1, 2004, the fee for a standard vehicle is $5. Follow sealed road to beach or Lake Cooroibah Holiday Park. The park is 2 km from the ferry and the beach a further 1.2 km. ( 4wd vehicles are not necessary).
Description: The area covers a variety of habitats including areas of melaleuca, eucalyptus, and heath as well as the beach.
Birds: White-cheeked Honeyeater, Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo, Caspian Tern, Crested Tern, Gull-billed Tern, Pacific Golden Plover, Bar-tailed Godwit, Eastern Curlew, Pied Oystercatcher. Parking: Public parking.
Condition: Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Facilities: General store sells gas, fuel, ice and groceries.There is a hotel, caravan park and cabin accomodation.
