Site Name: Jabiru Park and Fearnley Bird Hide
Address: Grange Road, Cooroy.
Directions: From Tewantin take the Cooroy Noosa Road. Pass Sivyers Road and Tinbeerwah park on the right, then take the next turn right. The turn is very sharp. Turn immediately left and follow the road to parking area on the left near the end of the road.
Description: There is significant habitat for a variety of bush, grass, and water
Birds:. A picnic table and shelter offers comfortable viewing even on the hottest or wettest days.
Birds: Golden Whistler, Eastern Yellow Robin, White-browed Scrubwren and Striated Pardalote are usually near the car parking area, and Magpie Goose often on the lake. The park was named for the Black-necked Stork which is often seen. Comb-crested Jacana are usually present. Look for the Cotton Pygmy Geese and Great Crested Grebe. Signage: Information sign in place.
Parking: Park in cleared area on left near end of road. Be aware that the harvester truck uses the slipway so keep vehicles clear of that, on working days.
Condition: Suitable for all levels of fitness.
