The Noosa Parks Association Tramper groups undertake monthly bush-walking excursions within the Sunshine Coast and hinterland regions from February to December. All NPA members and visitors to the area are welcome to join these walks, which are an excellent opportunity to explore and enjoy the natural environment of the Sunshine Coast and learn more about the work and aspirations of the Noosa Parks Association.
There are two walking groups operated by Noosa Parks Association:
Sunday Trampers: who walk on the first Sunday of the month and
Saturday Trampers: who walk on the following Saturday
Sunday Trampers outings are generally from 10 to 20kms in length. Sometimes the walks can being quite strenuous. The yearly program gives a grading of difficulty - check out the program here: Sunday Trampers Program (a more detailed walks description is circulated by email the Sunday evening prior to the walk)
Saturday Trampers are shorter walks, designed to offer an easier option than the Sunday walks. They are generally between 5 to 10kms long, and are on even ground where possible - check out the program here: Saturday Trampers Program (a more detailed walks description is circulated by email the Saturday evening prior to the walk).
If you are new to the group and wish to be notified of individual walks please provide the co-ordinators with your contact details. Each walk is led by a NPA member familiar with the National Parks, Nature Refuges, and forest reserves of the Noosa & Cooloola region.
If you have any queries or would like to join a Trampers walk, please contact the Sunday Trampers coordinator Tony King or Saturday Trampers coordinator Stuart Harris (details on the Tramper's programs below).
