Greening Noosa

Greening Noosa is the planting arm of Noosa Parks Association (NPA) - supported by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and the National Heritage Envirofund.

The year's program of Greening Noosa activities and contact details are in the:

2018 Greening Noosa Program.

The group is involved in monthly bush regeneration and removal of environmental weeds at Noosa Spit and other sites in the greater Noosa area - often working jointly with other local bushcare groups.

A section of Noosa woods and the Spit, known as Noosa Parks Association Park has been adopted by NPA, extending the vegetation of Noosa Woods by planting local native plants and eradicating weeds.

NPA is committed to extending the littoral rainforest character of Noosa Woods well out onto Noosa Spit.

There are opportunities for NPA members to contribute by weeding along the coastal track in Noosa National Park on the third Wednesday of each month, and on the second Thursday of the month, you are encouraged to join the weeding near Doggy Beach, further down Noosa Spit, or at an alternative site which will be nominated - you can view the 2018 Greening Noosa Program by clicking here
